Student Parking Policy
Parking permits will be sold for $10.00. Students are responsible for replacing lost or stolen parking permits. . While we do limit the number of parking permits issued, the purchase of a parking permit does not guarantee a parking space. Students must present a valid driver’s license in order to purchase a parking permit.
Parent signature is required on the student’s parking permit card.
Permits may be transferred from family car to family car, as long as the cars are listed on the parking permit card.
Permits are not transferable between students.
Anaheim Police Department will ticket any non-permitted cars in the lot.
Because the parking lot is part of the school campus, and state law considers a vehicle to be an “extension of a student’s pocket”, illegal items, such as drugs, weapons, and dangerous objects should not be in cars while parked on campus. ALL cars parked in the student parking lot are subject to search.
Katella High School reserves the right to the revoke parking privileges of any student who abuses parking privileges, parks in non designated areas, drives recklessly, endangers others with erratic driving, has excessive absences or tardies, has a GPA lower than 2.0.
Katella High School will not assume responsibility for damage that occurs in the parking lot. As with any parking area, we are not responsible for parking lot vandalism. Students park their cars on campus at their own risk. However, any act of vandalism should be reported to the office and the student should file a police report.
Students may lose their parking pass privileges if their current grading period GPA is below a 2.0.
